50th anniversary of the Porchetta Festival in Costano (PG)

From 21 August to 31 August 2025, Costano will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Sagra della Porchetta, a historic event that is central to the local identity.

The event will begin on 21 August with a special evening: the screening of a commemorative video, a round-table discussion with founders and former organisers, and a concert by the Costano Band, which is also celebrating its 75th anniversary.

Guests from the German municipality of Höchberg, twinned with Bastia Umbra, will also be in attendance.

Among the new culinary offerings will be a porchetta lasagne, known as the ‘50th-anniversary baked pasta’.

The president of the youth group, Simone Bordichini, thanked the community for their commitment and paid tribute to key figures in the festival’s history, such as Father Gualtiero Bellucci.

The anniversary will be an occasion for remembrance, sharing and looking to the future, keeping alive the bond between tradition and the community.

Start of the festival: 21/08/2025

End of the festival: 31/08/2025

Location: Costano
