Bigoli Festival and Monte Cucco Park Produce Fair in Costacciaro from 17 to 19 August 2025
The Bigoli and Monte Cucco Park Produce Festival, now in its 31st year, will take place in Costacciaro from 17 to 19 August. Recognised as a “Quality Festival” and an “Excellent Festival of Umbria”, it is an event that brings together gastronomy, culture, community and sustainability.
The undisputed stars of the show are bigoli, a traditional, simple pasta, served in various ways (with tomato sauce, ricotta or white ragù). The event involves hundreds of volunteers and attracts over 1,500 visitors every year, becoming a symbol of collaboration and local identity.
The festival stands out for its commitment to the environment, featuring biodegradable tableware, separate waste collection and a stage powered by renewable energy. It is also designed with families in mind, offering play areas and activities for children and teenagers.
The musical programme features three evenings of performances:
17 August: Marco and Claudia, performing lively folk music;
18 August: Manuel Malanotte’s orchestra;
19 August: the ‘90 Mania’ show, dedicated to the hits of the 1990s.
As well as its culinary appeal, the event is of great importance to tourism and culture, promoting local specialities and the Monte Cucco area. For the community, bigoli have become a symbol of unity, remembrance and conviviality, making the festival an event that looks to the future without forgetting its traditions.
