Umbrichelli Festival in Monteleone d’Orvieto

Every summer in Monteleone d’Orvieto, the Sagra degli Umbrichelli is celebrated – a much-anticipated food festival that coincides with the ‘Rimpatriata’, a festival established in 1965 to welcome back villagers who had emigrated.

Umbrichelli, similar to pici or strozzapreti, are a type of handmade pasta made solely from flour and water.

Their preparation involves numerous volunteers, and the sauces served with them reflect the local culinary tradition.

The next edition will take place from 8 to 17 August 2025.
